Silvio Berlusconi a year sentenced to prison
Italian court to impose sanctions on AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi on Friday (26/10) local time. Berlusconi was found guilty of the crime of tax evasion and sentenced to a year in prison.
Former Italian prime minister is accused of tax fraud in the purchase of broadcast rights through his company, Mediaset. Prosecutors initially charged four years for violations of the accused to Berlusconi. However, the sentence was reduced to one year because there is an amnesty law. In addition to the threat of imprisonment, Berlusconi ordered to pay a fine of 10 million euros and three years away from government offices.
