Pezzoni Leave Koln After Attacked Fans


After getting threats from a group of angry supporters outside his home, the German club FC Koln defender Kevin Pezzoni resign from the club. It was revealed Koln coach, Holger Stanislawski.

The club granted the 23-year player to cancel his contract on Friday (31/8) for the sake of safety.

"A group of people ambushed him outside a private residence this week, and really roughed her safety threat," said Stanislawski. Hordes of fans were upset they leave some notes on his car that contain threats.

Pezzoni Koln joined from Blackburn Rovers in 2008. February Pezzoni suffered a broken nose as a result of being beaten a fan of partying.

He told Stanislawski that he no longer felt safe playing for Koln.

Through Facebook account, Pezzoni explains, "I'm glad to see the understanding of our decisions and how violent and unacceptable threat."

Koln itself excluded from the Bundesliga last season. In Division Two, they had just lost at home to Energie Cottbus on Friday. It was the third defeat in four matches.
