"They are very poor. They do not have money for clothes or shinpads for Luka., So I made him a wooden shinpads. Currently, shinpads was still there. Know I keep it because, later Modric will be a great player," recalled Basic.
Basic itself reveals, Modric least not like remembering his past. Moreover, childhood gone through quite heavy, before his father returned from the war. "It's true, sometimes the mind to remember it all wounds. But I think that's part of his life and he should be proud of where it comes from."
Almost all his life most averse Modric tells his life story to the public. Just a few sentences out of his mouth was about the life of his childhood. "The war made me stronger. It was a very difficult time for me and the family. Tale I did not want to keep it forever, but I do not want to forget. Now, I have confidence ready to face anything," said Modric.
Having changed schools several times, in 2003, Modric eventually hired Dinamo Zagreb, the club raised degree at the age of 16 years. However, the war made him suffer anymore. Wounds must spend one year compulsory military service. He went to Mostar, with the Spanish army to help rebuild the area.
In the middle of the draft, the Modric could play in the league that season in Bosnia (HSK Zrinjski Mostar). There, she look stunning and be the best player.
