Able to Handle Ruud Gullit Convinced Nederland
Although not yet approached the Dutch Football Association KNVB, Ruud Gullit believes he is the right person to replace Bert van Marwijk, who recently resigned as coach of the Dutch national team after failing to bring the Dutch through to the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.
"I know I have the quality to replace Van Marwijk as coach. I sometimes fail as a coach, but people tend to forget I also won a lot, both as player and coach," said Gullit in Voetbal International.
Gullit added: "There has been no formal offer. KNVB never approached me. But it really would be an honor."
Gullit, 49, no longer the coach was fired from the Russian club Terek Grozny in June 2009 after only six months there.
