Fans Oldest Zenit Regina Donde Dies at the Age of 103 Years
Russian elite club, Zenit St Petersburg in mourning after losing one of the most loyal fan, Regina Donde. Supporters of the oldest in the history of the club died yesterday at the age of 103 years.
Donde was born in the city of Saratov in 1909, but a year later he moved to St. Petersburg with his family. He was fond of football began while visiting the club's stadium in 1929 and since then for nearly 80 years he became the most loyal fan Zenit.
On the day of the birthday-103, Donde claimed to be interested in football thanks to her husband. In an interview some time ago, he had revealed that his love of the club, he then considers all Zenit players like his own family.
Once was already elderly, Done remain faithful to force myself to watch his favorite team straight games in the arena. The last time he visited Petrovsky Arena in May 2011 when Zenit drew 1-1 Lokomotiv Moscow. However, physical setbacks forced Donde Zenit can only watch the action through a glass screen in recent years.
Zenit sad news was greeted with a statement on their official website which read: "FC Zenit expressed deepest condolences to the family Regina Samuilovna. We mourn with you." Funeral planned for body of Donde Regina on Tuesday (11/09/2012) local time at Saint George Hospital, St. Petersburg.
