Prestigious awards in Spain, Prince of Asturias, will be held again on 26 October. Soccer star Real Madrid and Barcelona, Iker Casillas and Xavi Hernandez, was named as the best in the field of sports.
Casillas and Xavi getting 11 of 18 votes. Where for this event, the president of the World Football Federation (FIFA), Sepp Blatter, also lined up to be one of the judges.
"They asked me as a judge, and the first name that appears minds I was Casillas and Xavi. Was not only due to their action on the ground, but rather to show what they have outside the field," explained Blatter told AS.
Furthermore, the two managed to unite the Spanish national team that in fact there is a difference between Madrid and Barca. According to Blatter, they put a sense of camaraderie on both his club rivalry.
Last year, the athlete Haile Gebreselassie won this award. Now, Casillas and Xavi will be ready to receive the achievement when the event was held in the building's performance Ovideo Campoamor.
