UEFA official release of the three main candidates winning the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award 2012. This time, Real Madrid striker, Cristiano Ronaldo had "attacked" two Barcelona players, Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.

Three players ahead of Andrea Pirlo (Italy), Xavi Hernandez (Spain), Iker Casillas (Spain), Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast), Petr Cech (Czech Rep.), Falcao (Colombia) and Mesut Ozil (Germany).
On August 30 in Monaco, along with drawing the Champions League group phase, the sports journalist would do it again voting with an electronic system, to determine who is best among the three candidates.
