Terrorist threats, Germany vs Italy Alert One
Polish police have increased security status ahead of Euro 2012 semi-final game that brings the German counter-Italians in the National Stadium, Warsaw, Friday (29/6) early morning hrs. Some 6,000 police are scheduled to be on guard around the stadium.
Alert imposed after the border patrol had intercepted a boat on the river near the border of Poland and Ukraine. The boat was known to carry some explosives and a cell phone store the image in which the Warsaw National Stadium. According to local media, this transport is often used to cross the border to smuggle goods.
"We have received information about potential terrorist threats," said Interior Minister Jacek Cichocki as reported by Reuters.
"But there is no definite indication of a particular place or person who is threatened," he added.
Cichocki said that increased security status not only applicable to the parties involved in Euro 2012, but it also means that all parties should improve Poland security alert status.
